What features of PIXMA MX7600 do you recommend?
Ohashi: Versatile functions to meet various needs of business users are available. In addition to printing, copying and scanning, PIXMA MX7600 features Super G3 fax and Auto Document Feeder (ADF) for 2-way paper feeding. With this feeder, up to 35 sheets in a stack can be copied and scanned, too. It can print crisp and beautiful text even on recycled paper and save paper through duplex printing with low power consumption. Thus, it can be said to be eco-friendly.
Iwasaki: Business use is not the only one we have focused on. With photo paper, PIXMA MX7600 achieves beautiful photos, thus delivering satisfactory print even for private use. It prints quality photos, and yet is versatile. It by itself will do both for office documents and private photos. This is a very model with which features of All-In-One printer are available.
Canon was the first to devise and commercialize this technology. Looking back, do you have any comments to share?
Ohashi: First, I had a very difficult time persuading my colleagues to appreciate PgR technology. Having more components to deal with, we collaborated with our manufacturing team and they helped us a lot. We are greatly obliged to them. We've received response from users saying "This printer allows me to print photos casually because we can use plain paper, which is not expensive". We are very excited because PgR technology, achieving quality photos on plain paper, could give birth to a new culture not only for our customers but also for us involved in development.
