AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) is one of the latest video technologies to come to the market. Recording true 1080 video in high definition, it uses an MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video codec to capture more video using less storage onto a hard disk drive. The video recorded is then easily transferred to your computer. You can burn DVD discs on your Windows XP or Vista system computer in either standard definition or high definition which will play in AVCHD compatible Blu-ray disc players, or play video directly on your computer or HDTV. The quality of the audio recorded by the HG10 is also enhanced through this new compression technology.
The HG10 is a very compact AVCHD format HDD camcorder, measuring a mere 3.2" wide x 5" high x 2.3" deep (81mm x 129mm x 75mm) - making it more convenient to carry your HDD camcorder.
