The 2.7" Multi-Angle Vivid Widescreen LCD fitted to the HG10 is a Canon Exclusive and new kind of widescreen viewfinder. It lets you see exactly what the camcorder is recording and what will be displayed on your TV. Unlike earlier LCD viewfinders, which cannot display the full color range of the image at anything but a direct straight on view, the new Multi-Angle Vivid LCD screen uses a hard coat AR surface and an improved range of color reproduction so the scene in the viewfinder remains faithful to the image you are shooting at a wider range of angles, up to 135 degrees from any direction, with greatly reduced glare. Groups of people can gather around the viewfinder and see the same depth of color and image quality regardless of their angle of view.
