Using an MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) video codec, it allows the HG10 to capture more video using less storage onto a 40 GB hard disk drive. Video can be played directly from the HG10 on a PC or an HDTV. You may also burn standard format DVDs or high-definition DVDs which play in AVCHD compatible Blu-ray disc players.
