HD onto a 40GB Hard Disk Drive
|
Hard disk drive recording is a very convenient format for those who want to easily transfer video to a computer for editing, viewing or sharing. The increase in sharing video
on the Internet and growing familiarity with computer-based editing programs make hard
disk drive recording increasingly attractive for many. Not needing to worry about carrying
around recording media makes it easier to be ready to capture the memorable moments
in life as they happen.
The HG10's 40GB hard disk drive will record up to 5 and a half hours of video in super
high quality mode, 9 hours in high quality mode, 12 hours in standard mode and 16 and a
half hours in long play mode. Once you've finished shooting, you can either play the
video directly on your computer or HDTV by connecting the HG10 through USB 2.0 Hi-
Speed connection or on your HDTV through the HDMI component connector. You can also download the video to your computer for editing with the bundled Corel software and with either Windows XP or Vista on your computer, burn a standard definition or AVCHD disc which will play in a compatible Blu-ray disc player.
With hard disk drive recording you get true random-access play, letting you access the
scene you want to see instantly. You'll also have no fear of accidentally recording over
footage you've already shot. Like a computer, the HG10 automatically searches for blank
space on the drive onto which to record. It's simple to delete unwanted footage
and you can record as the action unfolds without worry.
