Installation of the WebView Livescope Viewer for PC Software (File Name: webview_viewer_pc_3-3.exe, File Size: 2.25 MB) is required prior to viewing webcam videos.

Before beginning installation, please check your computer's operating environment for compatibility and be sure to uninstall any previous versions of the Viewer for PC (only one Viewer for PC can be installed on a single PC).

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT



Web Browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later recommended.
Netscape Navigator or Communicator 4.78 or later recommended.
Operating System
Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP

When an HTTP protocol is used by your Web Browser, the Viewer for PC can bypass network firewalls (a firewall is a method for keeping a network secure from unauthorized access).

DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION


  1. Please read the Canon Software License Agreement carefully before downloading the Viewer for PC. Once you choose "I AGREE", the download process begins and the File Download window will appear.
  2. Choose "Save this program to disk" and click OK. The Save As window will appear.
  3. Specify where to save the file and click Save.
    * Please be sure not to change the file name.
    The Download Complete window will appear.
  4. Click "Close".
  5. Double click the file that has been saved in step 3.
  6. The installer will automatically start up. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the viewer program.
    * Do not directly execute the Viewer for PC from the Start menu.
In order to view live video, first access the WebView World Web pages and select a webcam site. When "Using Viewer for PC" button is clicked, the Viewer for PC automatically starts up.
