This All-In-One automatically detects the type of original you're copying whether it's a photo, a text document or even a page from your notebook and then processes the image with optimal settings. The resuls are copies that will be truer to the originals, with accurate color and reduced grain in photos, and sharp, bold text in documents.

Borderless Printing : Borderless printing is possible on a wide variety of paper sizes and types. USB 2.0 Hi-Speed : Faster Data - The USB 2.0 interface enables the fastest possible image transfers and scanning speeds. 2PL : Fine detail - Microscopic 2-picoliter sized color ink droplets produce finely detailed and sharp photos. 4800 dpi Maximum : Maximum print resolution - Realizes the maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200dpi. Provides premium photo quality, combined with microscopic ink droplets. Dual Color Gamut Technology : Automatically optimizes copy quality based on the type of originals you are copying.
Fine Technology : Integrated print head and ink tank Keep the body compact and allows the cartridges to be replaced with a single touch. Scan 600 x 1200 : High-quality scans - Produce impressive scans up to 600 x 1200 dpi with vibrant 48-bit color depth. Advanced Z-Lid : Copy and Scan thick originals 4 x 6 photo in 70 seconds : Photo printing speed - Thanks to the improvement of FINE print head and paper feeding mechanisms, photo lab quality print can be delivered at high speed, at default setting. Auto-Image Fix : Recognizes the type of scene, subject's face etc. and automatically adopts the optimal correction for each type of image and prints beautifully using Canon Digital Photo Color.

  1. Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Color ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/4800 of an inch at minimum.
  2. PPM print speeds are based on the highest speed printer driver mode using black and white and color text patterns. Photo print speeds are based on the default mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy paper. Print speed measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used and page coverage. See www.usa.canon.com/printspeed for additional details. CPM copy speeds are based on fast mode setting using plain paper. Copy speeds may vary based on document complexity, copy mode, page coverage and number of copies.
  3. Supported paper types for borderless printing are as follows: Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss, Photo Paper Glossy and Matte Photo Paper.
