A new 4-color ink system ensures vivid colors and bold, black text. Your copies will be truer to the originals, and scans of photos or forms will yield results of up to 2400 x 4800 color dpi2 resolution.
You can also easily print photos without using a computer. Just insert a memory card into the built-in card slot, preview, and even enhance your images on the 1.8" LCD display, then Print! You can also print directly from a compatible digital camera or camera phone3,4, including a Bluetooth device via the optional BU-30 Bluetooth interface4. Additional features of the MP480 include the ability to keep the paper output tray closed when not printing (it opens automatically when printing begins), a Quick Start feature lets you power up in less than three seconds, and Auto Photo Fix that corrects red-eye and enhances your images.
PPM print speeds are based on the highest speed printer driver mode using black and white and color text patterns. Photo print speeds are based on the default mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy paper. Print speed measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used and page coverage. Copy speeds may vary based on document complexity, copy mode, page coverage and number of copies.
Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Color ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/4800 of an inch at minimum.
Requires mobile phone equipped with PictBridge technology and a USB cable.
Requires mobile phone (or other device) equipped with Bluetooth technology v2.0 and optional Bluetooth unit BU-30. Bluetooth operation depends on the device and software version used. Operating distance is approx. 10 meters but may vary due to obstacles, radio signals, locations where radio interference occurs, magnetic fields from microwave ovens, device sensitivity and/or antenna performance.
Based on accelerated testing by Canon in dark storage under controlled temperature, humidity and gas conditions, simulating storage in an album with plastic sleeves. Canon cannot guarantee the longevity of prints; results may vary depending on printed image, drying time, display/storage conditions and environmental factors.
