Overview

Advanced 5-in-1 Home Office Printer with Ethernet Connectivity.
This networkable 5-in-1 is all business, able to quickly produce beautiful photos and bold, professional-quality text. You can print photos right from compatible memory cards1 — selecting and enhancing images on the 1.8" color LCD display - or directly from a digital camera or DV camcorder. The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) holds up to 30 originals, and two paper trays can store both plain and photo paper. You'll achieve up to Super G3 fax2 speed in color and B&W, and the expanded memory can store 40 speed dial codes and receive 100 incoming pages.3 Copies will be remarkably true to the originals, and when scanning photos you'll produce impressive 2400-dpi results, with vibrant 48-bit color depth.

This enables use of the printer to be shared between multiple personal computers, with each being able to display the status of the printer at any given time printing in progress, no paper, etc. 2PL : Fine detail - Microscopic 2-picoliter sized color ink droplets produce finely detailed and sharp photos.
Dual Color Gamut Technology : Automatically optimizes copy quality based on the type of originals you are copying. 1.8 LCD Screen : Preview then print - Before printing, preview and fine tune your images using the 1.8 Scan 2400 x 4800 dpi : High-quality scans - Produce impressive scans up to 2400 x 4800 dpi with vibrant 48-bit color depth. 1.8 LCD Screen : Preview then print - Before printing, preview and fine tune your images using the 1.8 Memory Card Slots : Print from compatible memory cards - The memory card slot lets you print photos direct. FAX : Supports the Super G3 standards to enable plain paper color facsimiles and PC facsimiles to be transmitted ADF : Handles big jobs - The automatic document feeder holds 30 originals, making it easier to copy, scan or fax large documents. Auto-Image Fix : Recognizes the type of scene, subject's face etc. and automatically adopts the optimal correction for each type of image and prints beautifully using Canon Digital Photo Color. 4 x 6 Photo in 46 seconds : Photo printing speed - Thanks to the improvement of FINE print head and paper feeding mechanisms, photo lab quality print can be delivered at high speed, at default setting. Up to 30 PPM : Print up to 30 Pages Per Minute Black & White, or 22 in color.

  1. Compatible memory cards include SD™ Memory Card, SDHC™ Memory Card, MultiMedia Card®, Compact Flash®, Microdrive®, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO™. The following can be used with the addition of a special adapted sold separately: miniSD™ Card, RS-MMC™, MicroSD Card, Memory Stick Duo™, Memory Stick PRO Duo™, and xD-Picture Card™.
  2. The Public Switched Telephone Network currently supports fax modem speeds of 28.8 Kbps or lower, depending on telephone line conditions. Sending and receiving fax machines need to conform to ITU-Tv.34 guidelines.
  3. Based on ITU-T No.1 Chart for U.S. specifications and Canon FAX Standard chart No.1 for others, both in standard mode.
  4. Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Color ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/4800 inch at minimum.
  5. PPM print speeds are based on the highest speed printer driver mode using black and white and color text patterns. Photo print speeds are based on the standard mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and select Canon Photo Paper. Print speed measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used and page coverage. CPM copy speeds are based on fast mode setting using plain paper.   6. Requires mobile phone with PictBridge technology. Phone must be positioned no more than 7.9 inches from the printer.
