Windows Mac : Dual compatibility - It works with both Windows and Mac operating systems. Auto Photo Fix II Borderless Printing : Borderless printing is possible on a wide variety of paper sizes and types. 2PL : Fine detail - Microscopic 2-picoliter sized color ink droplets produce finely detailed and sharp photos. USB 2.0 Hi-Speed : Faster Data - The USB 2.0 interface enables the fastest possible image transfers and scanning speeds.
4800 dpi Maximum : Maximum print resolution - Realizes the maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200dpi. Provides premium photo quality, combined with microscopic ink droplets. Windows 7 Compatible : Compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 Ethernet : Supports wired LAN connections in addition to USB connections. This enables use of the printer to be shared between multiple personal computers, with each being able to display the status of the printer at any given time printing in progress, no paper, etc. Auto Duplex Print : Built-in Auto Duplex printing capability is compatible with photo paper as well as plain paper feeding from both Rear Tray and Cassette. PgR : The PgR ink system uses a higher-intensity black pigment ink along with a clear ink and specially formulated colorpigment inks. You'll see superior print quality on photosand graphics even when using plain paper, along withsmudge-resistant, laser-quality text.


  1. Resolution may vary based on printer driver setting. Color ink droplets can be placed with a horizontal pitch of 1/4800 inch at minimum.
  2. Supported paper types for borderless printing are as follows: Photo Paper Pro Platinum, Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss, and Matte Photo Paper.
  3. Photo print speeds are based on the standard mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and select Canon Photo Paper. Print speed is measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used and page coverage.   4. ISO/IEC 24734 defines the default print speed measurement methods. Print speeds are the average of ESAT in Office Category Test for the default simplex mode, ISO/IEC 24734, excluding time to print the first set. See www.canon.com/ipm for additional details.
