We have discovered a phenomenon that occurs when a phone is connected to the external device jack of the printers specified below. Depending on the usage environment, the printer may enter the fax reception mode during a phone call and the call will be terminated.
If your printer’s serial number is within the range shown below, and you have experienced this phenomenon, please install the appropriate firmware to correct this issue. If your printer’s serial number does not fall within the ranges indicated below, there is no need to install this firmware.
