American Cancer Society

The mission of the American Cancer Society (ACS) is to eliminate cancer as a major health concern through extensive research, education, advocacy and services for patients and their families. Across the U.S., Canon and its employees have supported ACS to help the organization continue its research and services.

ACS is a leader in breast cancer research, funding more than $322 million in breast cancer grants since 1972. In addition to research, the ACS National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program provides low-income, uninsured and underinsured women access to life-saving breast cancer screening tests and follow-up services. The program has provided more than four million screening exams since its inception.

Since 1998, Canon USA has been a Flagship sponsor of ACS's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk", which includes donating funds and products and encouraging employee participation in the walk.
