Best Pocket Pro
I have two DSLRs and five lenses. I have been shooting professionally for many years, but sometimes, I get tired of packing all my stuff. I bought the G15 in the hopes of finding a top of the line pocket camera. Well.....this is the one for me. Listen....it's not a DSLR...OK. But for all around shooting...it is phenomenal. And it has many sweet features, like 10fps and night shots mode that really come in handy.
I love it.

great camera
Many "professional" reviews compare this camera to similar "large sensor" cameras and conclude that the large sensor cameras "win" - but you should ignore those reviews. The optics on this camera blow away the competition - there is no 5x zoom point-and-shoot camera with an F2.8 lens at maximum zoom. I would prefer a large sensor, but the trade-off is size. To get an F1.8-2.8 lens on a large sensor camera, I think you'd need a lot of glass. The manual controls with physical knobs and two custom settings are also great. This camera replaces my G10 - which I also enjoyed for years.

Nice camera
Good camera. Very good picture quality.
I used to have G12 before for a few months. Upgraded to G15 expecting better picture quality and I'm not disappointed.
What is missing compared to G12 that is no articulating screen. which was very convenient. I didn't know it in time of buying G15 and I'm really disappointed.
Also it would be nice have a touchscreen
