The EOS 5D Mark III's Intelligent Viewfinder offers a sharp, bright approximately 100% field of view with an approximate magnification of .71x, a viewing angle of 34.1° and a 21mm eye-point. With a new construction featuring aspherical lens elements, the viewfinder displays less distortions and color aberrations than previous models. It uses a transparent LCD to superimpose a customizable combination of focus points and gridlines directly over the image. The AF status indicator can even be directed to display within or outside of the viewfinders image area. With the intelligent viewfinder, unlike with other cameras, the photographer has the choice of seeing shooting information or looking only at the scene in front of the camera. The ability to effectively erase all shooting data and turn it back on with the touch of a button gives the photographer the opportunity to concentrate simply on looking and composing the photograph without distraction, a great advantage in numerous shooting situations.
It's good camera but the price is too high, easy to use, slow start-up time and the battery has short life :(

I bought this camera back in December of 2013 and I have never been more satisfied. From Family functions, to on the job use, all who gaze upon the images produced with this camera are left in awe and admiration. Combined with Canons L-lenses your images with the 5D mark III will leave everyone in awe! You will not regret purchasing this piece of awesome!

Worst camera ever
As a 25 year professional photographer (CPS member) and one that has owned nearly two dozen Canon professional digital cameras, the 5D Mark III is the worst camera I have ever owned. There are numerous posts to references on the focus points on this camera. DON'T rely on seeing them. If you are a wedding or event photographer, you will be searching for the focus points all the time. They blend in. Canon is fully aware of this issue, but will not admit it exists. And once you buy the camera, they have no intent on assisting you further. I am very disappointed in both the camera and Canon.
