It's easy to track and capture subjects at the extreme telephoto on select PowerShot models. Use the Zoom Framing Assist Seek function to locate and track your subjects; by simply pressing a button, this function remembers your previous zoom position, zooms out to let you locate your subject, and zooms right back into the saved position when you release the button. And with Zoom Framing Assist Lock*, the camera will lock onto and automatically track a subject. The function will intelligently keep your subject in the center of the frame until you're ready to capture the perfect close-up shot.

Manual Ring Control

An advanced new method of power management found on select PowerShot models, ECO Mode reduces power consumption by managing display brightness and camera sleep times in order to provide more shots on a single charge. The mode is activated automatically, or with the push of a button on select models, to easily conserve battery power. The press of any button will reactivate the camera.

Manual Ring Control
Intuitive dual rings provide effortless control over the lens and shutter on the PowerShot N. The outer ring controls the shutter, which can be released from any point on the ring. Whichever angle or position you choose to hold the camera, the shutter ring is always under your finger for quick shutter release. The PowerShot G1 X, PowerShot S110 and PowerShot SX50 HS calculate the camera's horizontal angle of tilt, and the PowerShot G15 calculates both the camera's horizontal angle of tilt and vertical angle of pitch, and displays the information on the LCD monitor.
