DALLAS, August 12, 2011 – Whether it is a radiography application for an emergency room (ER) or a neonatal intensive care unit, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, offers various configurations to meet medical practitioners' needs. At the 2011 American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) Exposition, Canon U.S.A. will display its complete digital radiography solutions at the Canon booth (#702) from August 14 -17.
"Continuously instituting advancements in image quality and low-dose utilization, Canon is committed to helping improve hospital efficiency and quality of patient care," said Tsuneo Imai, senior director and general manager, Medical Systems Division, Canon U.S.A. "We are pleased to present the Company's robust portfolio of wireless, portable and general digital radiography solutions that is suitable for various applications."
For a faster, more streamlined approach to Digital Radiography, the RadPRO 40kW Digital Mobile System1 advances its Digital Radiography application with the ability to be outfitted with a variety of Canon DR systems, including the Canon CXDI-70C Wireless DR System. Utilizing the CXDI-70C Wireless DR system, this digital X-ray solution eliminates the customary sensor cable while delivering high-quality images and effortless portability. Weighing 7.5 pounds, the durable Canon CXDI-70C Wireless DR system is easy to handle and has the same dimensions as a standard ISO 4090 film cassette that fits into existing Bucky trays. The CXDI-70C Wireless DR system also incorporates a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator, helping to reduce X-ray exposure to the patient1.
Utilizing Canon's Digital Radiography systems in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU), can help reduce workflow times. With the use of a custom tray, the new CXDI-80C Wireless and CXDI-60C Digital Radiography systems are easily compatible with a number of NICUs and allow both detectors to slide in from either side with ease, creating fewer disturbances to the infant. Making them ideal devices for pediatric applications, both detectors produce high-quality images and incorporate a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator, helping to minimize X-ray exposure to infants.
The RadPRO ELITE Overhead System2 offers three robust radiographic configurations that allow for easy, efficient exams needed by today's high-volume imaging departments. Equipped with a high-frequency generator, four-way float table, chest unit and overhead X-ray support, this modern system offers precise positioning with speed and effortless movements. For a fast streamlined approach to DR care, the RadPRO ELITE Overhead System advances digital radiography application with the ability to be outfitted with Canon's CXDI-70C Wireless DR system along with the new CXDI-501 and CXDI-401 DR systems. These Digital Radiography systems all feature a high-quality image sensor with a 125-micron pixel pitch, allowing medical practitioners to capture defined images from nearly any anatomical view. These detectors also incorporate a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator, helping to reduce X-ray exposure to the patient1. With easy handles and cassette-size frames, the DR Systems are exceptionally versatile, providing both portability and easy installation, making them ideal for diagnostic imaging areas and radiology rooms.
The RadPRO URS50RF two-in-one Digital RF Imaging System2 is a hybrid radiography and fluoroscopy (RF) imaging system that features the portable Canon CXDI-50RF Dynamic/Static DR System. Taking advantage of its detachable cable, the CXDI-50RF unit can be used in multiple rooms or multiple locations within the same room. Configured with an 80kW RF generator, this dynamic, dual-function system is a full-featured Digital Radiography system that can perform several diagnostic and minimally invasive fluoroscopic procedures in a single room. This impressive system also allows hospitals, clinics and imaging centers to consolidate their R&F functions, resulting in potential savings on equipment and operational costs.
With high-quality image sensors, 125-micron pixel pitch and Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillators, select Canon Digital Radiography detectors produce high-quality diagnostic images with a low-dose radiation. Ideal for various diagnostic imaging areas and radiology rooms, the Digital Radiography systems are exceptionally versatile, portable and easy to be installed.
Canon's flat panel Digital Radiography detectors on display will include:
