- Canon Clean Earth Crew: Each year, Canon employees, family and friends volunteer their time to protect and improve the natural environment in communities near Canon offices. As members of Canon Clean Earth Crews, they plants trees, restore trails and clean up beaches and streams, among other tasks.
- Island Harvest: an affiliate member of America's Second Harvest (the largest hunger relief organization in the U.S.), the mission is to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island, New York. Rescuing surplus nutritious food from involved companies such as Canon, volunteers deliver the surplus to community-based non-profit organizations. In 2003, four million pounds of food valued at more than $8 million was delivered throughout Long Island. For more information: www.islandharvest.org
- Long Island Envirothon: A Long Island High School contest, sponsored by the Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Suffolk and Nassau Counties, is an environmental competition for students in grades 9-12. The high school teams in Nassau and Suffolk Counties compete for scholarships, local title and the opportunity to participate in New York State Envirothon. - Toys For Tots: In connection with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, Canon employees donate new, unwrapped toys in the month of December for underprivileged children.
