The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile application is a combination of a Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform (MEAP) application that runs on Canon’s imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE multifunction products (MFP) and a mobile client application that resides on iPhone® and iPad® devices and BlackBerry® smartphones. This pairing provides iPhone and iPad and BlackBerry users with a driver-less, and server-less mobile print and scan solution which easily integrates with their Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs.

The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile application helps expand the capabilities of the mobile workforce with an array of printing and scanning opportunities. iPhone and iPad users and BlackBerry smartphone users can perform the following:
  • Print emails, PDFs, and photos to Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs
  • Scan hard copy documents from Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs to their iPhone and iPad and BlackBerry smartphone
  • Manage Canon MFPs, as well as print and scan features via their iPhone and iPad and BlackBerry smartphone
