Canon Workflow Composer and eCopy ShareScan are embedded applications that enable you to turn your imageRUNNER ADVANCE device into an on-ramp for your document management system. Simply place a document on the feeder, press a button, enter index information using the device keyboard, and the document is properly filed in your system. These solutions are also flexible, with the capability to integrate zonal OCR and barcode scanning into your customized workflows.

You can "pull and print" any print-ready document stored in an Advanced Box folder on another networked imageRUNNER ADVANCE device. This allows you to store a commonly printed form or document in a single location. If it needs to be updated, you can do so once, and all other devices will be able to access the new version.

With imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials Workflow Composer, you can also simplify scanning and saving tasks by creating a one-touch button that scans a document, converts it to PDF, and sends it to your PC. If the document contains sensitive or confidential information, you can easily password-protect it too.

Combining Canon’s renowned imaging expertise and Oracle’s leading-edge Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies, this new middleware product enables easy access to information when and where needed. Businesses can connect Enterprise Resource Program (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications in order to help improve their business processes.

Valuable as this is, Canon adds another critical element to the equation. Enterprise Imaging Platform also accounts for imaging and paper-based documents within a company — and that makes for a much more efficient, comprehensive solution. Manual paper processes can be automated. Users are able to capture, classify, and extract information from paper documents and deliver it to multiple applications, simultaneously and automatically.

The real-world business applications of Enterprise Imaging Platform are nearly endless. It can be leveraged to automate processes in finance, accounting, procurement, marketing and for many other functions.

Users can generate new documents that combine data from multiple applications into a portable format (Microsoft Excel or PDF) that’s easy to print, e-mail, fax, or archive.
