Great Picture Quality
I record a lot of my son's rodeo team roping runs and much of the time it's indoors which isn't the best light for recording. This camera is awesome! The HD quality makes watching the playback very clear, even when plugged into our 55" TV. We can see a lot of detail we could not see on our old non-HD recorder. The quality of the video is worth the extra to get the high definition. Zoom is great. Love it.

Happy other camcorder was stolen
We had our Canon DC 20 stolen while on vacation in Dec 2011 and we just loved that camcorder. We were afraid that we would never be able to replace it with one we liked as much (we had that thing since Jan. 06). Well we are glad we were forced to buy this new Canon because this a much better product. The videos are crisper clearer and much more compatable with HD TVs. The still pictures are just simply amazing. They are comparable to pictures taken with the most expensive of cameras (if printed in a 4x6 format and not blown up).. This camcorder is light and much more comfortable to use and handle. I guess the theif actually did us a favor because we like this camera better than the other one. Thanks again Canon for a great camcorder at a very afforadable price.
