It uses pigment-based black ink for laser-like text on reports and e-mails along with high intensity color inks for brilliant photos. To further improve color reproduction, Canon advanced MicroFine Droplet Technology™ uses an innovative 1,088 nozzle print head that ejects consistent, prescribed-volume droplets. This technology delivers a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 color dpi* with droplets as small as 2 picoliters for improved photo details.

The included Easy-PhotoPrint†† software, an Exif Print 2.2 compatible application, makes it simple to print brilliant digital photos. It faithfully reproduces the colors digitally captured, while improving image quality by virtually eliminating "Photo Noise" and boosting color saturation with "Vivid Photo" driver enhancements. The result: more perfect-looking photos that you can't wait to share. Canon developed Easy-WebPrint†† software to help eliminate the hassles of Web printing.
