Better than inkjet for documents and labels As a long time ink jet user, I needed something I could print better documents and shipping labels. I installed it on a Windows Vista PC, and on a iMac OSX 10.6.8 and it was easy installation on both machines. Being sure to get all the packing material out was tricky, and when I turned the printer on, I wasn't sure what the noise was about. I'm guessing it needed to heat up or something. I was worried I'd left packing material in there somewhere. Noise shut off after about a minute, and now just whirrs a little before printing. For the low price, this little machine gives excellent quality. March 29, 2014
mac user. New with toner It took me three days to have it printer. I tried every suggestion. My mac kept saying not toner or paper and it would send the file to print and nothing would print. I was ready to send it back when i decided to take the toner out of the printer one more time and look inside in the back then i saw a orange plastic frame, i pulled out and the printer came to life! I spend 10 hours trying to make it work! Canon please send a manual with words or a big sign saying attached to it saying we need to remove it. It is inside the printer in the very back! God bless you every one! February 28, 2014
MAC Users FYI: You need the UK firmware if you have OS X Mavericks. Google is your best friend. The printer is a pretty good bargain. Looks aesthetically pleasing. It's compact and doesn't take much room. It's quiet. Overall good quality. February 1, 2014
Works with MAC I noted that another reviewer said it would not work with his MAC. This was not my experience at all. I downloaded the drivers and it was all plug and play. I use an early 2008 MacBook. This has been a good printer. Inexpensive black and white printing. Just what I needed. December 8, 2013
