The imageRUNNER 85+ continuously outputs print jobs at its rated speed of 85 impressions-per-minute, even while printing at 2400 x 600 dpi interpolated print resolution. It has a duty cycle of up to 400,000 impressions per month.
Incorporating Canon's MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform) architecture, the imageRUNNER 85+ can be customized to meet unique business needs. Customized applications can run from the imageRUNNER control panel, streamlining document workflows.
The imageRUNNER 85+ provides users with great flexibility with respect to paper capacity, paper stocks, and drawer selection. Two 1,500-sheet paper trays and two 550-sheet user adjustable cassettes capable of handling from statement-sized paper up to 11" x 17" come standard. Additionally, a 50-sheet Stack Bypass brings the standard paper capacity to 4,150 sheets. An optional 3,500-sheet user-adjustable paper deck designed to accommodate 11" x 17", Legal, Letter or Letter-R-sized paper can be added to the device. The imageRUNNER 85+ device's extensive finishing capabilitites are designed to handle the most common high-volume printing applications, such as booklets, training manuals, etc. Three optional finishers are available, all of which deliver single and multiposition stapling. Support for saddle-stitching, Z-folding, booklet trimming, 2- or 3-hole punching and post-process document insertion is also available.

The imageRUNNER 85+ device's Mail Box function allows users to store print jobs to the device's hard drive. Up to 100 Mail Boxes are available with a total document capacity of up to 2,000 documents or 8,000 pages. Once stored, print jobs can be moved between Mail Boxes, combined, renamed, erased, manipulated and printed as required.
Users can choose either the Canon Multi-PDL Printer Kit-F1 or the imagePASS-M3. The Canon controller delivers printing capabilities with support for PCL 5e/6, PostScript® 3 emulation, and Canon's UFR II (Ultra Fast Rendering) technology. For those users with higher bandwidth requirements, the imagePASS-M3 features its own hardware dedicated to printing applications, and supports genuine Adobe® PostScript 3 and PCL 5e/6. Both solutions have been designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing network infrastructure, and come with a full suite of system utilities to simplify device installation and management.
