Features
Connectivity
To maximize the usefulness and versatility of the FS400, you’ll find an A/V mini-terminal to easily view the recorded video on your television. The FS400 is also equipped with a USB port for direct transfer of your video and photos to your computer for editing or online sharing.

The FS400 is compatible with the Eye-Fi SD Memory Card*. It’s possible to wirelessly transfer your video and photos to your computer, or upload them directly to online sharing sites in a few simple steps. Insert an Eye-Fi SD Memory Card into the SD card slot on the camcorder, configure your computer to select the target site (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Shutterfly, Flickr) and you’re ready to share your standard definition files with family, friends, and the world!
It’s a breeze to upload video from your FS400 to sites such as YouTube, using the supplied simple wizard Pixela Video Browser Software. It’s another way to easily bring your FS400-shot footage to the Internet.
* Canon camcorders are not guaranteed to support Eye-Fi card functions, including wireless transfer. In case of an issue with the Eye-Fi card, please consult with the card manufacturer. The use of Eye-Fi cards may not be approved in all regions, or from one region to another. Please contact the card manufacturer for status of approval in the country/region of use. AUTO FOCUS...not so auto
I have 3 Canon FS100's and really like how they work...so I bought 4 Canon FS400 and am very sad that they do NOT perform the same way. The last 9 months the AUTO FOCUS has been VERY DISAPPOINTING. When I film any function day OR night they seem to periodically go blurry and are NOT focused what so ever.
The FS400's only great quality is that the batteries last almost 4 hours.
I wish there was a way to return and have them fixed or get FS100's
I also have 4 Vixia HF R300's and not happy with Battery Charge times for extended batteries.

not satisfied
I have owned the Canon FS400 Flash Memory Camcorder with 41x Advanced Zoom and SDXC Card Slot since July 2011, and I would get my money back if I could. I video mainly family stuff and some weddings. Of the four weddings I have taped since I owned the camera, only the outdoor wedding was of any quality!
The camera is super easy to use, and works well with my Mac and iMovie, but the fact that it doesn't record well indoors does not make it a good buy for me.
