Okay
Its Okay, I am still young so it Okay but, I am upgrading to a SLR camera. I like it but it can be better, yes I would recomend it because some of the pictures were pretty good. I am trying to become more advanced so this isn't a suggestion.

disappointed
Overall picture quality was poor. Purchased for its size and ease to fit in a jacket pocket. Can't compare to my other Canon cameras. While the camera is nice, the picture quality suffers. Very grainy under all conditions. Took pictures under bright sunlight and couldn't get a quality print.

Great little camera package for everyday
My current shooting combo of choice is my T4i with battery grip and an EF 24-105 f/4 L lens. However, that is a little bulky for everyday or spur of the moment use and on several occasions I've really wished I had a small camera to carry around. Solution? The A3400. The combination of features, size and price are hard to beat. 16 megapixel, 5X optical zoon and image stabilization add up to quite a nice little setup. My three year old son picked it up and started using it. It's hard to give up the control options of a DLSR, but for a point-and-shoot it fits the bill nicely. I look forward to catching the shots I would have missed without this backup camera.

outstanding camera
we decided it was time to replace our old 3.5 disk camera while it was big and bulky it took great photos but now days have to buy external docks for it. After alot of research and hunting we decided on the A3400 and red goes faster. I cant be happier! Easy to handle features that make not only out of the box ready to use but simplistic enough that anyone can take quality photos first try. Being able to take video thats stable and clear is only a golden plus.Canon hit this one out of the park cant praise it enough!
