Image Browser is Woeful!!
I installed Image Browser EX onto my computer, connected camera (Canon 7D) to computer. Opened Image Browser EX and was confronted with a black screen .. eventually I managed to get it to acknowledge the photo files on my computer. They appeared as little grey folders, but there was no way I could get any further and actually see a photo. It doesn't seem to load the photos ... eventually gave up and uninstalled ... a pathetic waste of time and disk space

Gps function
I bought the Canon SX260 HS primarily for its GPS function. That GPS works in very few casesin wide open spaces (not in New York or Montreal) and then it provides coordinates. The Image Browser EX was supposed to provide the translation but the one delivered to me by Amazon does not show the map function it is supposed to. With that the GPS function of the camera is useless. I am returning the product and am totally dismayed of the camera and the browser.

Dreadful software
Why can't a company as big as Canon recognize poorly thought-out software? This is a huge step backwards from the old ImageBrowser EX. The new interface is cluttered with useless rubbish. The human interface for photo editing is awkward, out of date, and crude. The software suffers from slow response due to the computer being forced to grind away processing their terrible facial recognition even if the photos are all landscape and nature photos with no faces. Unfortunately there is no way to turn off this useless facial recognition "feature". The old ImageBrowser was much easier to use, but it appears to be no longer maintained or updated.

Poorly documented
Where to start...
First, it is poorly and confusing documented that Canon Camera Window (and ZoomBrowser) is required to download images from a camera before ImageBrowser EX can do its thing.
Second, no one at Canon seems to have used/debugged this software prior to release. When you go to import images from memory card it says "no images to download to the memory card". To and from are two different things Canon!
Very bloated software to do what it does, and it can't even download images from a camera without ZoomBrowser.
