Good deal
I had no problems whatsoever like others installing software. Maybe that was because I use Windows 7. This printer makes outstanding prints and pictures. Perhaps it is because I am used to inkjet. It scans super fast. I was tired of inkjets clogging the ports on other inkjet printers. The only two minor annoyances is sometimes it will stop in the middle of printing to "align" itself and if you are scanning from acrobat, you have to go to the printer first and click on scan from outside source ad then go back to the computer to start the scan in acrobat. But the good price and high quality printing makes up for everything. It has 4 recessed well constructed openings for your hands/figners to lift/move the printer which was thoughtful. Unfortunately I only have it 1 or 2 months so I can't attest to reliability over the long haul. I am buying a second one right now for home use.

A Canon Disappointment
I've used several Canon ImageClass printers, both at work and at home. I wanted a color multifunction printer and decided to go with a Canon because of my previous EXCELLLENT experiences.
I must say customer support has been most helpful, but that doesn't make up for the connectivity issues I keep experiencing. I gave on wireless, and USB is flaky. Maybe it's a Windows 8 issue, but everytime my computer goes to sleep, I need to disconnect/reconnect my USB cable in order to print (and, yes, the computer does see the printer before I do this). Trying to scan is a nightmare. I have to turn of the printer, restart my computer, then try to scan.
Avoid this model. If I had been aware before my 30 days had expired, I would have returned this to the dealer.
When it does print, the quality is top-notch.
