Worst Purchase Ever
Bought Canon since they generally have a good reputation as electronics manufacturer.
Have had this product for over a year. Terrible product in many ways.
Printer: Very slow to start and warm up. Sometime will print just 1 page and hang for several minutes.Often needs reboot.
Fax answers the phone even when set to not pick up until after the 4th ring.
Copier: Very slow to start and warm up. Sometime will print just 1 page and hang for several minutes.Often needs reboot.
Scanner: Have not had any problems. Has been acceptable.
I am going to have to throw this pseudo-working printer into the landfill and buy a replacement product. Too frustrated to use any longer.
Very disappointed with Canon.

We have this printer/scanner in our small office. If just using it as a printer, it is great (besides very long "warm-up" process when first print of the day). Using it as a scanner is almost impossible! Takes multiple tries to get a small stack scanned in. It will just stop mid-way through and "lose connection" with the computer. It is not a wi-fi issue because it is hard wired to my PC. Very frustrating to say the least. Would not purchase again.

Great Price but terrible setup issues. The supplied cd did not have a file for Windows 7 64x. Had to go to Canon website to download drivers. Those drivers did not auto install . Calling tech support

I had no problems whatsoever like others installing software. Maybe that was because I use Windows 7. This printer makes outstanding prints and pictures. Perhaps it is because I am used to inkjet. It scans super fast. I was tired of inkjets clogging the ports on other inkjet printers. The only two minor annoyances is sometimes it will stop in the middle of printing to "align" itself and if you are scanning from acrobat, you have to go to the printer first and click on scan from outside source ad then go back to the computer to start the scan in acrobat. But the good price and high quality printing makes up for everything. It has 4 recessed well constructed openings for your hands/figners to lift/move the printer which was thoughtful. Unfortunately I only have it 1 or 2 months so I can't attest to reliability over the long haul. I am buying a second one right now for home use.
