Features

  • Three fully modular, readily expandable configurations: 1) imageCLASS C2100 2) imageCLASS C2100 PD 3) imageCLASS C2100 CS. The imageCLASS C2100 and imageCLASS C2100 PD color laser printers can be upgraded with the Reader (Copy Station), which is standard on the imageCLASS C2100 CS. As the leader in color copying, Canon applied all its expertise in designing the imageCLASS C2100 Reader (Copy Station) as a full-function color copier. It features high-quality color reproduction and speed-600 x 600 dpi at six ppm for full color and 24 ppm for monochrome-as well as a fast first-copy time. And users sacrifice nothing in copier functionality. The Reader (Copy Station) itself has options which help streamline your workflow, while enhancing the imageCLASS C2100's functionality. The Automatic Document Feeder greatly simplifies copying of the multipage originals, and the Image Editing Unit makes off-the-glass image manipulation quick and easy. The good news is that you don't have to choose between them, since both can run concurrently. In addition, the Reader (Copy Station) features a Control Card option, for ID card access to the imageCLASS C2100's copy functionality.

  • The imageCLASS C2100 features Canon's leading-edge color laser technology. Innovation extends even to the oil-free toner. These spherical toner particles contain a microscopic bead of wax that disperses color the instant the toner is fused to the paper...which means color output is smooth and glossless. And the color mechanism is cartridge based, so the toners, which are encased in sealed cartridges, are simple to snap in and out - no messy pouring or spilling. The convenient, cartridge-based design is also extended to the photosensitive imaging drum, the fuser, as well as the Intermediate Transfer Drum (ITD) which transfers full color images to the paper in a single pass. This design ensures the printer's reliability over time.

  • Business Users will find that the imageCLASS C2100 produces great color using the default settings. Experienced color users will appreciate the additional control and flexibility from a suite of color management utilities, including EFI's ColorWise┬«, Apple's industry standard ColorSync#174; Profile, the Windows#174;-based ICM Profile, as well as Canon's own ColorGear#153; Profile. EFI's ColorWise#174; technology is an intelligent color system that produces precise, consistent color from all applications, platforms and formats. These utilities are complemented by a new PANTONE#174; color referencing system and VisualCal#153;, a platform-independent calibration system. Working alone or in unison, they establish the new standard of desktop color quality and reliability.

  • The imageCLASS C2100 offers a generous 3,100-sheet maximum input capacity, delivered face-up or face-down. And with a straight paper path, the imageCLASS C2100 handles an expanded range of media, including heavier stock, lables, envelopes, glossy film and overhead transparencies. Flexibility also extends to paper size: the top standard cassette accepts letter and legal stock, while the bottom cassette accepts letter, legal and ledger. The MP tray handles these, as well as transparencies, labels and envelopes, plus non-standard media of any size, from 3.9" x 7.5" to a maximum of 12" x 18.5".

  • As the leader in connected color, Canon designed the imageCLASS C2100 from the ground up for network connectivity. Built-in 10/100 Ethernet and optional Token Ring boards make networking a snap. And the unit supports most any combination of client workstations and network protocols, including TCP/IP, IPX/SPX#153, SMB and AppleTalk#174; with PCL5c emulation standard, and genuine Adobe PostScript 3, the imageCLASS C2100 offers the broad cross-platform support required in today's diverse networked environments.

  • The imageCLASS C2100 enables pinpoint printer management by network administrators via Canon's NetSpot#153; remote administration software, and Fiery Web Tools#153; allow users to manage print jobs and printer functions from the Internet or company intranet.
