mac user. New with toner
It took me three days to have it printer. I tried every suggestion. My mac kept saying not toner or paper and it would send the file to print and nothing would print. I was ready to send it back when i decided to take the toner out of the printer one more time and look inside in the back then i saw a orange plastic frame, i pulled out and the printer came to life! I spend 10 hours trying to make it work!
Canon please send a manual with words or a big sign saying attached to it saying we need to remove it.
It is inside the printer in the very back!
God bless you every one!

FYI: You need the UK firmware if you have OS X Mavericks. Google is your best friend.
The printer is a pretty good bargain. Looks aesthetically pleasing. It's compact and doesn't take much room. It's quiet. Overall good quality.

Works with MAC
I noted that another reviewer said it would not work with his MAC. This was not my experience at all. I downloaded the drivers and it was all plug and play. I use an early 2008 MacBook. This has been a good printer. Inexpensive black and white printing. Just what I needed.

Great Little (in size) Printer
I purchased this printer online for a great value and I didn't have to change the toner (that came with it) for a year!!! I have a small business and I print without thinking about the cost much but after 6 months I started thinking about when was I going need to replace the toner. I pondered about it a while and then I remembered the story of the poor women in the Bible who offered kindness to a man of God. After he left she would pour her oil out of the container and it never ran dry and she knew it should have been gone long ago.
