Scanner & Fax Work Great/Color Ink Gets Clogged
• Scanners works great
• Automatic Document Feeder is very useful when scanning or faxing multiple pages
• Fax works great
• Very reasonable price
• Ink Cartridges are a bit expensive
• Color Ink Cartridge gets clogged up failrly quickly
– Was able to unclog it by filling up the sink with a couple of inches of hot water & holding the nozzles of the ink cartridge down in it for a few minutes. Then I ran "Cleaning" & "Deep Cleaning" several times and finally it is printing normal again. Of course, I have hardly printed in color, but it shows I only have about 1/2 of the Color Ink Cartridge remaining.

Good printer and scanner
I have had this printer-scanner for more than 2 years, and in that time have switched it from a PC to a MAC with no glitches.
Document printing is great, as is scanning. Color photo printing is just OK.

scanner doesn't work
I was satisfied with this until the MP Navigator EX stopped working. I explored the Canon site looking for a solution and could not find any, altho I tried several. I uninstalled all Canon products from my computer and reinstalled the printer-- it still doesn't work. The machine is 2 years old and the programs should still be functional.
It is very noisy, takes a long time to get started, and the print quality is average.

Based on accelerated testing by Canon in dark storage under controlled temperature, humidity and gas conditions, simulating storage in an album with plastic sleeves. Canon cannot guarantee the longevity of prints; results may vary depending on printed image, drying time, display/storage conditions, and environmental factors. Photo print speeds are based on the standard mode driver setting using photo test pattern(s) and select Canon Photo Paper. Print speed is measured as soon as first page begins to feed into printer and will vary depending on system configuration, interface, software, document complexity, print mode, types of paper used and page coverage. See www.usa.canon.com/printspeed for additional information.
ISO/IEC 24734, 24735 define the default print and copy speed measurement methods. Print speeds are the averages of ESAT in a Category Test for the default simplex mode, ISO/IEC 24734. Copy speed is the average of FCOT, ISO/IEC 24735 Annex D. ADF copy speed is the average of ESAT in a General Performance Test for the default simplex mode, ISO/IEC 24735. See www.usa.canon.com/ipm for additional information.
