Please be advised that a screw inside some Canon PowerShot SD950 IS cameras may loosen and fall out due to vibration that is generated while carrying or using the camera.

Phenomenon
We have discovered that there are cases in which a screw inside the camera may loosen and fall out inside the camera due to vibration that is generated while carrying or using the camera. In this case, the screw may cause a loss of power. However, this phenomenon does not cause any safety concerns such as overheating.
Affected Product: Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital Cameras
Products with the following serial numbers are affected. Please check the serial number on the bottom of the camera.
Among products with the serial numbers described above, if there is a marking inside the battery cover like the one in the images below, the issue has already been corrected, and you may continue to use your camera “as is” with no further action required.
