below, it may be affected by the phenomena described below. If so, please
contact us using the contact information listed at the bottom of this page and
(Name of Sales Company) will update the firmware of the projector to address
these phenomena.
We offer our most sincere apologies to customers using these products who have
been inconvenienced by this issue.
The following phenomena have been confirmed on some Canon WX6000/SX6000
projectors.
Phenomenon
The following conditions, when met in the following order, will cause the
projector not to respond when using a LAN communication method
1. The network function is activated.
2. The projector has been connected to a power source for 16 days or more.
The following conditions, when met in the following order, and when accessed from the projector menu/buttons, or the remote control, will cause the projector not to respond.
1. The network function is activated.
2. The projector has been connected to a power source for 16 days or more.
3. The menu is displayed on the screen.
Affected ProductsThe models with the firmware version listed below may be affected by the phenomena listed above and are eligible for the firmware update.

How to Identify Affected Products:You can check the firmware version with the following procedure. The example below is from the SX6000 menu. Please use the same procedure for other affected projector models.
Make a projection and display the menu.
1.Press the MENU button on the
projector or on the remote controller to open the menu screen.
2.Use the right cross-directional key
(►) to move to the Information tab.
3.Check the firmware version in the
Firmware field. (The following menu is displayed when the Network function is
set to on.)
Support
Affected products will be inspected and repaired free of charge. If you own
one of the affected products, please contact our Customer Support Center. This
information is for residents of the United States and Puerto Rico only. If you

Support Center in your region.
