GMD Overview
Canon U.S.A., Inc.'s Government Marketing Division (GMD)
was established in 1979 specifically to serve federal, state
and local customers nationwide. The GMD provides sales,
service and support of office technology to government agencies.
The GMD holds and participates in numerous GSA, Federal
and State and Local government contracts which allow the
marketing of Canon's full range of products, including multifunction
imaging systems, copiers, facsimiles, color graphic systems,
micrographics and digital imaging equipment. Request

GMD Mission Statement
The Government Marketing Division represents Canon U.S.A.,
Inc. in the Government Market which includes federal government
customers, prime contractors, and state or local government
customers. The mission of the Government Marketing Division
is to promote high standards of excellence in marketing,
sales and service to these government customers in order
to become the best government marketing operation in the
industry.
Employees are the most important asset in fulfilling this
mission. Employees represent to customers a commitment to
excellence; therefore, the Government Marketing Division
will expect and encourage excellence in its employees. Primarily,
this will be through providing a work environment which
provides ample opportunities for recognition, advancement,

Canon's dealer network also represents Canon's commitment
to excellence. In turn, the Government Marketing Division
will support Canon dealers in their efforts to serve government
customers.
