The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Canon an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year- Manufacturer for outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by designing and promoting energy-efficient products.

Canon has been honored for its leadership in manufacturing, broadly promoting products that earn the ENERGY STAR, and for education outreach to further enhance energy efficiency awareness.

At the forefront of the office equipment and consumer imaging industries, Canon has developed original and advanced energy efficient technologies, and it has introduced more than 400 products that incorporate these technologies. Since 2001, Canon U.S.A. has received four Partner of the Year — Manufacturer awards. An ENERGY STAR partner since 1993, Canon U.S.A. also has won five other ENERGY STAR awards.

Among the Canon products that have earned ENERGY STAR are Canon imageRUNNER models 2270, 2870, 3570 and 4570 — multifunction products that incorporate a RAPID Fusing System that is an advanced energy efficiency technology.
