With the advent of imaging technology and the enactment of Check 21, checks no longer require manual transportation and central processing. Instead, check images can be sent electronically, either to a central processing bank or directly to the Federal Reserve Bank with an Electronic Cash Letter (ECL). Canon’s CR Series Check Transport devices, the CR-180, CR-55, and CR-25, are designed to meet the daily demands of an imaging environment for a wide range of check processing arenas like teller/branch capture, merchant/remote capture, back-office conversion, ACH, ARC, check clearing houses, and large retail operations. |
