has dawned. Canon’s revolutionary ACV-235 is the world’s
first anamorphic lens converter developed for the 2/3”
image size format and
matches the color temperature of our HD-EC Primes and Zooms
perfectly..
A converter that fits easily between the electronic cinematography
lens and camera, the ACV-235 makes it possible to record
a CinemaScope© size (aspect ratio 2.35:1) image with
an HD-EC camera. By optically compressing the CinemaScope©
image to a standard HD aspect ratio of 16:9 (1.78:1), the
ACV-235 provides HD cinematographers with a simple and inexpensive
path to full, theater-sized projection. The Canon ACV-235
offers a drastic improvement over previous methods of adapting
HD cinematography to CinemaScope© size, which typically
involved cutting the base image’s upper and lower
sides – decreasing resolution in the process. With
easy operation and compatibility with both HD primes and
zoom lenses, the ACV-235 portrays the full brilliance of
HD electronic cinematography.
