Canon expands on its
huge presence in ultra tele portable SD shooting with two
new highly anticipated lenses at NAB 2004.
The J35ex11B IASD & J35ex15B IASD are the most telephoto
portable SDTV lenses available, bringing major creative
options to news and sports production, stabilized helicopter
systems, and much more. The focal length for the J35ex11B
is 11~385 mm,
or 22~770mm with 2X extender, while the focal length for
the J35ex15B is 15~525mm, achieving 1050 with 2X extender.
This compact, lightweight pair replaces Canon’s extremely
popular J33ax11B and J33ax15B lenses that have become a
staple throughout the broadcast production community. Top
optical performance comes through Canon’s IFxs system,
and the precise tools that come with the latest generation
of Digital Drive. Canon’s ecological design, with
such non-polluting measures as lead-free glass, is also
incorporated.
