Integrability-Security-Reliability
Canobeam DT-50 is designed to work with IT system administrators
as a complete solution that includes scalability, performance monitoring,
security, and flexible integration into the network. Canobeam is not dependent
on a protocol outside the layer physical of the network, so it can be implemented
in the same manner as fiber optic cable. The Canobeam includes Canobeam Management
Software as a standard configuration that monitors the status of the Canobeam
DT-50 on a remote PC. And, the point-to-point wireless optical beam
transmissions of the Canobeam DT-50 are highly secure, "untappable"
connections. Canobeam DT-50 works well in areas where there is high
radio or other EMR interference. There is no necessity of radio frequency
permits, allocations, or licenses.
Cost Control
Canobeam DT-50 has operating and initial costs that are, in most
applications, much lower than those associated with the installation of fiber-optic
cables, or monthly paid services such as DS-3, OC-3 or OC-12.
The 3R
Where there is no direct line of sight between the two proposed points of
communication, or where the distance required exceeds 2 KM, multiple Canobeam
units can be placed to relay the signal from its point of origin to its destination.
The 3R function, (Re-generating, Re-timing, Re-shaping) normalizes the signal
waveform with FastEthernet, FDDI, and ATM transmissions, so there is no deterioration
of the signal during relay transmission.
Autotracking
Building sway, platform movement, wind, and other factors can cause any installed
device to vary from its original position. Canobeam DT-50 protects the
data stream from interruption by compensating for any variation of up to 4
degrees. Devices without this feature experience serious limitations in how
they can be implemented.
