| This patch resolves the issues outlined
in Microsoft's Security Bulletin MS03-039. This patch will
install the Q824146 Hot-Fix. For convenience the patches
have been zipped together to facilitate the download.
Pre-requisite for this patch is a ColorPASS or imagePASS
that has sp6a already installed, either by default or through
a patch. Please refer to Canon's response to MS03 026 to
obtain detailed information about the need to install a
patch for sp6a.
Installation instructions:
1. |
Download patch using CWS or Downloader to Direct
connection of RIP. |
2. |
After RIP returns to “Idle”, wait
60 seconds |
3. |
Reboot Print Controller through the “Reboot
System” option in LCD Shut Down menu. Note:
Do not reboot from CWS. |
4. |
RIP will boot up and then will reboot itself. |
5. |
Let RIP come to idle. |
6. |
Print the configuration page and make sure the
correct information appears (Update Info section
should appear with patch number). |
7. |
Installation is complete |
