| This patch, 1-EMOAI.ps is a cumulative patch
for the Windows NT based controllers that resolves the issues
outlined in Microsoft's Security Bulletin MS02-050, MS02-055,
MS03-008, MS03-013, MS03-039, MS03-041, MS03-043, MS03-044,
MS03-045, MS04-007, MS04-011, MS04-012, and MS04-014.
Pre-requisite for 1-EMOAI.ps is a ColorPASS or imagePASS
that has Revised SP6a already installed, through a patch.
Three additional patch files are provided to bring the RIP
to the level of the Revised SP6a. Use the one patch required
based on RIP model.
This patch, 1-DSRD9.ps is a cumulative patch for the ColorPASS-Z800/Z6000/Z7000/Z7400,
which are XPe based controllers that resolves the issues
outlined in Microsoft's Security Bulletin MS03-007, MS03-014,
MS03-023, MS03-027, MS03-030, MS03-034, MS03-039, MS03-040,
MS03-041, MS03-043, MS03-044, MS03-045, MS04-003, MS04-004,
MS04-007, MS04-011. This patch does not have any prerequisites.
Note: While the ColorPASS-Z500e/Z3000 uses a Windows XPe
based OS, this security patch is included in the ColorPASS-Z500e/Z5000
System Software, and as such should not have the patch file
"1-DSRD9.ps" installed onto again.
Patch Installation Instructions:
1.
Download the appropriate Patch File to the Direct
Queue using Fiery Downloader or Command Workstation.
2.
After the ColorPASS/imagePASS finishes processing
the downloaded patch, the system will return to "Idle,"
wait an additional three (3) minutes, and then reboot the
controller. (Choose "Reboot System" from the "Shut down"
menu.)
3.
If there is an Advance Controller Interface Kit
installed and the administrator's password is not blank,
please enter the password when prompted.
4.
Let the ColorPASS/imagePASS return to "Idle," wait
three (3) minutes, and then reboot the controller. (Choose
"Reboot System" from the "Shut down" menu.)
5.
Turn the copier off, wait three (3) minutes and
turn the copier back on.
6.
If there is an Advance Controller Interface Kit
installed and the administrator's password is not blank
(some ColorPASS models have the password of "Fiery.1" as
the default) please enter the password when prompted.
7.
Once the controller has returned to "Idle," wait
three (3) minutes, and then reboot the controller. (Choose
"Reboot System" from the "Shut down" menu.)
8.
When the LCD of the ColorPASS/imagePASS indicates
[Idle], print out a "Configuration Page" and verify that
the appropriate version of the Service Pack 6a patch is
listed under "Update Information." |
