| This patch, MS06-025_SP1-SP2_1-O3ZF3.exe, is a patch that resolves the issues outlined in Microsoft's Security Bulletin MS06-025.
Installation Procedure Of The QFE Without An Advanced Controller Interface Kit Attached:
1. Enable Remote Desktop on the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server (Server Setup Options).
2. In order to create the patch folder on the d: drive of the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server, and in order to upload the files to the d: drive of the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server, connect from a Windows PC by one of the following methods:
a. Choose Run from the Start menu, and type \\<ip address of the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server>\d$ (for example, if the IP address of the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server is 100.100.100.61, type \\100.100.100.61\d$). If prompted for username and password, use “Administrator” as username, and “Fiery.1” is the default password.
b. Utilize the Remote Desktop utility to connect to the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server. If prompted for username and password, use “Administrator” as username, and “Fiery.1” is the default password.
3. Copy the contents of the folder created in step 3, to any folder on the target ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server (for example, d:\Approved QFE).
4. Connect to the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server through Windows Remote Desktop Service, and open the folder created in step 4.
5. Install a QFE by double-clicking on the file; this will pop up a message to confirm the continuation of the installation of QFE MS06-001_SP2_1-OJIBE.EXE . Click on the “Yes” button to confirm. This will launch the MS Setup Wizard for the installation of this QFE on the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server.
6. Follow the instructions in the MS Setup Wizard to start the installation of the QFE.
7. During installation, there may be a 20 to 30 second delay for the complete installation to finish; this is normal behavior.
8. Please make sure to reboot the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server after the QFE has been installed.
9. When the LCD of the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server indicates [Idle], print out a “Configuration Page” and verify that “1-O3ZF3” is listed under “Update Information.”
Installation Procedure Of The QFE With An ACI Kit Attached:
1. If the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server cannot be connected to the internet (SECURITY INFORMATION - OFFICE PRODUCTS) to download the patch, then in order to create the patch folder on the d: drive of the ColorPASS, and in order to upload the files to the d: drive of the ColorPASS, connect from a Windows PC by one of the following methods:
a. C Choose Run from the Start menu, and type \\<ip address of the ColorPASS>\d$ (for example, if the IP address of the ColorPASS is 100.100.100.61, type \\100.100.100.61\d$). If prompted for username and password, use “Administrator” as username, and “Fiery.1” is the default password.
b. Utilize the Remote Desktop utility to connect to the ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server. If prompted for username and password, use “Administrator” as username, and “Fiery.1” is the default password.
2. Copy the contents of the folder created in step 2, to any folder on the target ColorPASS-GX100/imagePRESS Server (for example, d:\Approved QFE).
3. Open the folder created in step 3.
