Ever since Canon created the imagePlatform (iP) open architecture, the independent software community has been playing
a vital role in Canon's ability to deliver customer-driven solutions. imagePlatform, and now MEAP - Canon's
Multifunction Embedded Application Platform technology - provide a common interface that third-party software
developers can utilize to deliver applications ideally suited for the imageRUNNER line of multifunction devices.
Our Alliance Program is designed to identify, develop and market these software and hardware solutions that
not only add value to Canon's product lines, but also address customer-specific and industry-specific needs in the
marketplace.
The program began with solutions for the imageRUNNER line, but has grown to also include our imageWARE software,
Color Systems, and Image Filing Systems lines of products, and continues to grow. Together with our Solution
Providers, Canon is addressing the digital document workflow needs within our customer's networked enterprise
seamlessly and consistently.
Whether a solution is custom developed by a third-party vendor through our Developer Program, or is a standard, standalone application that compliments our products, Canon's Alliance Program provides the vehicle to successfully present the solution and its benefits to our customers. Canon's Alliance Program gives customers more options to select the application that best suits their needs and helps them realize their full return on investment and beyond with Canon technology.
