Canon U.S.A., Inc.'s Clean Earth Campaign environmental initiatives are included in the Canon Group's overall global environmental program described in detail in the Canon Group's highly ranked Canon Sustainability Report 2003.
In 1990, Canon U.S.A. formalized its commitment to environmental conservation by creating The Clean Earth Campaign. Now recognized as one of America's premier corporate environmental management programs, The Clean Earth Campaign guides all of Canon's workplace conservation and recycling activities. Additionally the Campaign directs the company's environmental philanthropy and employee volunteer initiatives. These efforts are accomplished with organizations that represent the best thinking and programming among those dedicated to improving our natural surroundings.
Canon's Clean Earth Campaign, has four Components relating to environmental Conservation:
• Conservation in the Workplace • Conservation Science • Environmental Education • Employees in Action
As part of its Clean Earth Campaign in the United States, Canon has sponsored The Canon National Parks Science Scholars Program, the Canon Envirothon, and the Public Broadcasting Service's NATURE Series.
In Canada, Canon has made donations to the World Wildlife Fund of Canada and The Nature Conservancy of Canada. Canada's Clean Earth Campaign.
