Canon begins to analyze the environmental impact of products at the beginning of the product cycle. Programs include energy-efficient manufacturing processes, developing energy-efficient products, using a greater amount of recycled materials, creating a copier toner cartridge collection and recycling program and eliminating hazardous substances.
