ARCHIE MANNING KICKS OFF CANON U.S.A.'S AND THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME'S "WHY DO YOU LOVE FOOTBALL" PHOTO CHALLENGE
Grand Prize Winner Will Be Awarded a Trip for Four to Super Bowl XLIII and Gets Their Photo Displayed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., September 3, 2008 – Canon U.S.A. and the Pro Football Hall of Fame are giving football and photography fans the opportunity to capture the fun, passion, excitement and journey of youth football by entering their best football photos, everything from a playful catch in the backyard to any school or organized youth football games in the "Why Do You Love Football" Photo Challenge.

The nationwide amateur photo contest features two entry categories; "Action" and "Feature." The "Action" category focuses on any image that captures football action during game play, while the "Feature" category comprises any football imagery outside of game action on the field. After the success of last year, the teen division, open to fans ages 13-18, will return as well. Parents, family members and friends are encouraged to submit as many as 10 of their favorite football photos from September 1, 2008 to December 3, 2008 by visiting www.usa.canon.com/nfl and follow the online instructions.

"This will mark my third year working with Canon on the 'Why Do You Love Football?' Photo Challenge," said former NFL quarterback Archie Manning. "We've received some amazing photographs over the years and I know from personal experience how important it is to have captured life's journey through photography. Having the opportunity to reflect and flip through old photos brings me right back to some of the best moments of my life."

A judging panel consisting of renowned sports photographer, Peter Read Miller, Sports Illustrated, Archie Manning, former NFL quarterback and father of Indianapolis and New York Super Bowl MVP quarterbacks, and other prominent staff photographers from the Professional Football Hall of Fame will determine the group of 14 finalists in each division. The voting will then be turned over to the fans, who will crown the first-place winner in both the "Action" and "Feature" categories, along with the Grand Prize winners in early January.

The Grand Prize winners will each be awarded a trip for four to attend Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Bay and will earn a once in a lifetime opportunity to have his or her photo displayed in The Pro Football Hall of Fame, in Canton, Ohio. Additionally, the winners will receive a trip for four to the 2009 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Celebration in August 2009.
