Canon U.S.A. Takes Top Honors In PCMag.com's Readers' Choice Awards For Service And Reliability For 2012
Company Voted First Overall by Readers in Digital Camera, Camcorder, and Printer Categories

This marks the 9th year in a row Canon has received this award for cameras and printers, and the 2nd year in a row for camcorders, a new category introduced in 2011.

For the 2012 PCMag.com Readers' Choice Awards, Canon saw an increase in scoring for overall satisfaction in the digital cameras category, from 8.6 in 2011 to 8.9 this year on a scale of 0 to 10. In the camcorder category, Canon received an overall score of 8.5, an improvement of half a point from last year's first place score of 8.0 and in the printer category overall satisfaction increased in 2012 to 8.3 from 8.1 in 2011.
Ben Gottesman of PCMag.com stated, "As in past years, Canon is the more well-rounded of our two Readers' Choice winners, receiving top marks for overall satisfaction in the compact camera and system camera category (which included DSLRs and compact interchangeable lens cameras, or CILCs) and the highest rating for likelihood to recommend in every category, including superzooms and budget cameras."

Under camcorders, Canon additionally increased its scores in reliability, earning 8.9 compared to 8.6 last year, in likelihood of recommending from 8.4 in 2011 to 8.7 this year and increasing the Net Promoter Score by 11% to 57% for 2012. In the digital camera category Canon received top marks in technical support and overall satisfaction in the compact and system camera category. Additionally, in the likelihood to recommend category, Canon received the highest rating in every category including superzooms and budget cameras while increasing its score to 9.3 in 2012 from 9.1 in 2011. In the printer category, Canon received the highest overall satisfaction score among printers used at work and lead in reliability, likelihood to recommend and overall satisfaction.
