Canon U.S.A. Welcomes Temporary "New Employees" As Approximately 60 Children Celebrate "Take Your Child To Work Day"

MELVILLE, N.Y., April 25, 2013 Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, opened its doors to approximately 60 children, ages 7-11, in honor of "Take Your Child to Work Day" at the new Canon Americas Headquarters. Throughout the day, children participated in various interactive and educational activities that helped assist them with envisioning their future career goals.

Children of employees had the opportunity to visit their parent's workplace and learn about Canon environmental initiatives, such as practicing the three R's - reduce, reuse and recycle. In addition, participants learned important business skills by partaking in interactive activities, such as a business card exchange, and also learned about Canon products and technologies, while creating a one-to-two minute commercial using Canon cameras.

"We were excited to give our staff the opportunity to share with their children their work experience and give the children a behind-the-scenes look at the new Canon headquarters," said Bunji Yano, senior director and general manager, Corporate Communications Division, Canon U.S.A. "The children loved participating in the fun and collaborative activities, while learning about future career options at Canon.
