Canon U.S.A. Celebrates The 10th Annual Promotional Night At Yankee Stadium
Canon Partners With the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the New York Yankees to Inform Fans about Keeping Children Safe
MELVILLE, N.Y., June 27, 2013 – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the New York Yankees teamed up for the 10th consecutive year for Canon's annual promotional night at Yankee Stadium on June 25, 2013. Canon and NCMEC took part in a pre-game ceremony celebrating their efforts to help keep children safe and to help bring missing children home. As part of the celebration, the first 18,000 fans that entered the stadium received a Canon and Yankees branded baseball hat.
The partnership between Canon and NCMEC has helped to educate the public about the issue of missing and exploited children. The Canon4Kids program seeks to raise public awareness about the role photographs play in the recovery of missing children. As part of the Canon4Kids program, Canon has donated more than 2,200 pieces of equipment to date - including digital cameras, fax machines, printers and scanners - which have been distributed to law enforcement agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Guam. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1984.
