Canon Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of 2014 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print and Content Services
MELVILLE, N.Y., November 13, 2014 - Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced that its parent company, Canon Inc., has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of the 2014 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print and Content Services report1.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant positions vendors based on their performance across two major categories: the Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. In the Ability to Execute category, Gartner evaluates each Managed Print and Content Services Provider (MPCS) on its "success in delivering results today, as well as its preparation to deliver results in the future," and in The Completeness of Vision category, Gartner evaluates a provider's "prospects for success by analyzing its view of the market, service operating model, and strategic plans for growth and service improvements."
Gartner names the Leaders in the quadrant based on their ability to offer a service that helps customers to optimize or manage their company's document output by meeting certain objectives such as driving down costs, improving efficiency and productivity, or reducing the IT support workload. Gartner also reviews the company for its portfolio of comprehensive solutions that rationalizes, streamlines and optimizes business communications inside an organization by providing customers with consultative help, software and implementation.
